WasteWell is a social enterprise of Resource Recovery Australia, which is part of the Great Lakes Community Resources Incorporated family.

Great Lakes Community Resources Incorporated is a not for profit community development Association. Community Resources was intitially established as a Skillshare to assist disadvanatged unemployed people. today, Community Resources comprises services and enterprises which employ 108 individuals, representing approximately 80 fulltime staff, 25% of staff are Aboriginal. Annual turnover is $12million

Community Resources has vigorously pursued its human resource and community development aims by drawing on government, industry and the community to provide services, programs and enterprises to enable people, particularly the disadvantaged, to develop social and economic livelihoods for themselves

Resource Recovery Australia is a profit-for-purpose organisation providing consulting, training and operational waste services. We offer cost effective solutions for Councils, based on our 25 years’ experience managing landfills and transfer stations in Northern NSW.

All our sites are run as social enterprises, based on our original and multi award winning social enterprise Great Lakes Resource Recovery.

Our consulting and training arm enables us to share expertise with other Councils, social enterprises and regional waste groups.

Our products business, Wastewell, enables us to manufacture the products we have assessed as most effective on site, also creating local employment.
